Merry Christmas...

SECOND POST FOR TODAY....SCROLL DOWN FOR MORE
Today is another reveal day at Practical Scrappers. To get you into the Christmas spirit, we are doing Christmas cards. Here is mine. I used an image from my very dear friend, Teri, at Delicious Doodles. Isn't this Santa adorable? I used some papers from my stash, so I have no idea who it is made by. I used my watercolor pencils and paper.

Here is a peek to the inside of the card...

and here is the matching envelope. Now, I want to see what you can create! Have a great Monday!!!!

Waiting For Santa...

Good Monday Morning,
Today is the re-grand opening at Digital-Ink Co. (DIC0). This week are beginning our new bi-weekly challenge schedule. We are now having games and big prizes. I had the great pleasure to work with my friend, Kathy at Stitchy Stamps again this week with this precious image. The image is called Waiting for Santa, isn't this the sweetest? I had so much fun with it. I used lots of glitter on the tree and when finished, I used some good old glimmer mist on the image.

You want to play along this we Cosmo Cricket. You know this prize pack is calling your name. You can only win it if you enter! I'll be looking for you....
Don't forget to check out the 50% off sale going on in December!!!!

Halloween Party....

Good Sunday Morning,
I hope you've enjoyed this beautiful weekend. Do you have your Christmas tree decorated yet? Don't you love getting all the decorations out and in place? I do. Christmas is my favorite holiday! So why am I posting Halloween? My friends and I scrapped at church this weekend. I got many Christmas cards completed and began my Little Kids Halloween book.
This page is the first one in the album and it holds the little invitation I made for them.

These two pages are the "yummy menu" which consited of Skeleton Ring Fingers, Cobweb Corn, Sewer Slug Slime with Batwing Sauce, and some delicious Witches' Brew to wash it all down.

Good Saturday Morning,
I hope everyone enjoyed Black Friday!!! I was at church scrapping all day, no shopping for me! Today, I'm posting the new challenge at Cafe Mojo. We have a fabby sketch to inspire you. I simply adore this one and it was so easy. This page literally came together in minutes! Gotta love sketches that empower you to work that quickly!

I used some My Mind's Eye papers and some of those Prima naturals for my flower embellies. I really love how this came together. I hope you find the inspiration you are looking for while visiting my Maven sisters at Cafe Mojo, they have lots of mojo for you! You can leave them some love by clicking on my links in the side bar. Monochromatic Wishes...

Happy Black Friday!
I hope you all had a Blessed Thanksgiving. I hope you were surrounded by family, friends, and have good memories to scrapbook.
Today is a new challenge at Humble Pie. This week, you are challenged to go monochromatic. I can't wait for you to see what the Baker's are serving up this week. I think this has been my favorite challenge. Please be sure to click the links in my side bar and share some love with my sisters.
Now to reveal my card.
I used one of Maggie's snowfriends from the winter Sweetie Pie images. Don't you just love this snowman? I colored with watercolor pencils and then added lots of glitter. I know it is difficult to see the glitter in the photo. I used three different shades of blue glitter, some sparkly white on the top of his hat and broom. Then to shadow the side of his body, I lightly shaded with a pale blue and white glitter. You know I had to use my favorite folder and glimmer mist on this one too. The sentiment is looking a tad bit green in the photo, but it is a lighter shade of blue and I sprinkled fine white glitter on it as well.

Happy Thanksgiving....

Good Morning,
Today is Thanksgiving Day. I want to wish all of you the most Blessed day. I have such heartfelt thanks and gratitude to each and every person I've met since I began blogging. You have all touched my life in such positive ways, I'm sending big hugs to you all today. Enjoy your family, friends, and good food.
I've had a bad virus on my computer since this weekend, so I've only been doing the bare necessities on it. I want to apologize for not stopping by your blogs. I do think it is finally removed, after having at least three different techs working on it. So, I'll be trying to catch up this evening and tomorrow. The ladies at my church are having a weekend crop in the fellowship hall, can't wait for that!
Today is altered item day at Practical Scrappers. I chose a store bought tag from last year. I removed the top image, added a bling candy cane, some ink, used deco scissors to cut an edge, stamped the To and From on it, and used a pen to add my stitches. I've got several of these to do as I begin my shopping. Let's see your projects for stitching!

Share the Holiday Warmth...

Good Wednesday Morning,
Today brings a new challenge for Penny's Challenges. This week, Penny has challenged us to use NO DPS!!! Set your creative juices free and create your own designs. Well, of course, I had to pull out the Cuttlebug and some glimmer mist, when you have that duo, who needs dps...giggles. I decided to stamp some random snowflakes in second generation, I wanted a more subtle inking technique. I placed a little bling in the center of each. I love the non traditional colors on this one. So if you need some more inspiration, check out the creative dt on my side bar. These girls have some very inspirational cards this week. Have a blessed day before Thanksgiving.

Snow Friends

Good Tuesday Morning,Today is card reveal day at Practical Scrappers! I used the Card Patterns sketch for this one.
I thought it would be perfect for a snowman image and with the circle theme, it reminded me of snowballs.
So here is what I came up with. My paper is My Mind's Eye. I embossed my two white circles and then covered them with pear glimmer mist. Once they were dry, I hand stitched around them to attach to the base card. I colored my Bildmalarna image with water colors and used my nesties to create those circles. I kind of flipped the sketch to the side and wanted a row of bling at the top. My sentiment is CTMH. I hope you are inspired to get stitchy this week at Practical Scrappers. Stay tuned, big things are beginning on November 30 at Practical Scrappers.

Snow Angel

Good Morning,
It is Monday, the week of Thanksgiving, and a new challenge is up at Practical Scrappers. This week we are asking you to show us your stitches! If you are like me, the old sewing machine doesn't work any longer. I loved the sketch at Stuck on You this week, so that was my inspiration. I had this paper from Kaiser and thought, pull out the really old photos of Ashlea playing in the snow with her daddy. I wanted my stitched flourishes to resemble the winter winds whipping the snow all about. I hope you get time in this busy week to play along with us.
Thanks to everyone who participated in the online crop this weekend, it was so much fun!!

Isn't this sketch terrific? I just love it!!!!

Thankful Traditions...

Good Frosty Morning,
I have lots to share this morning... Today is the last day for the online crop at Practical Scrappers. I do hope that you've been visiting and playing. Kerri has lots of fun challenges and games going on. I'm currently fighting for a bottle of Strawberry Stickles, lol. Anyways, her second challenge is feast or football. Although I am a HUGE football fan, I chose to do one about the feast. I used the fabby sketch over at the Design Dollies this week for my inspiration.

While I was using the sketch, I thought, why not go for the color challenge as well. This was a challenge. I had both colors in Bazzill, but a pattern paper was had to find (believe it or not-in my huge stash)

And this is the finished layout. The element challenge at the Dollies was to use flowers, lots of them, I used eleven. In the end I was really happy with the results. I have one flower that is photographing darker. It blends very nicely irl. I do hope you get a chance to play with the Dollies this week and don't forget you still have ALL DAY to play in the online crop at Practical Scrappers!

Altered Photo Frame

Hey girls,
This is my second post today. Please scroll down for a Christmas card. As you know our challenge over at Practical Scrappers this week is to use acrylic on our projects. Thursday is altered item day for us. My pastor's daughter just gave birth to beautiful baby girl. I made this frame for baby Hannah. It was black frame I picked up for a buck at the Dollar store. I painted the frame with Making Memories pink acrylic paint. I used some Life Delights paper from CTMH. I painted the inside of the glass down in the corner so the rub-on would really stand out. I sure hope you like it, and I hope you'll be inspired to try you own altered frame.
Don't forget about our first ever online crop at the Practical Scrappers message boards this weekend! I hope to see you there!

Rock and Roll Humble Pie Style.....

****Second Post Today, Please Scroll Down for Penny's Challenges Card****
Rock and Roll Stamp Technique Tutorial for Humble Pie Stamps
I'm using these supplies to make a beautiful fall card, did you notice the Easter Eggs? Well, they will make my pumpkin, really! I was inspired to use the egg stamp from something Boni did a while back.

Step 1, is to load up your stamp with base color. Stamp image onto cardstock.

Step 2, after cleaning the stamp, roll the edges in a darker color, being careful to ink only the outer edges. Align the stamp over the base color image and stamp.

Step 3, cut your images out.

Step 4, adhere the pieces together using your favorite adhesive.

Step 5, cut the card to your desired measurements. Use your favorite embellies, stamps, and ribbons to complete the card. Here is my finished card using Easter egg stamps and the rock and roll stamping technique. I hope you give it a try. It does take just a little practice, but it gives a great touch to your images. Have fun!
